What should I do if there is salt residue on my pH electrode?
Do you have white crystals on your electrode? No fear, there is a simple solution.
If you have white crystalline residue near the fill cap or on the electrode, there is no need to worry. These crystals are simply electrolyte salt that has dried.
If the pH sensing glass and junction are still hydrated, just rinse down the electrode with deionized or distilled water.
If the pH sensing glass and junction are dry, still rinse the electrode, but then allow the electrode to sit for at least an hour in storage solution to rehydrate the electrode.
