What is an ISE?

ISE is short for Ion Selective Electrode.

An Ion Selective Electrode is an electrode that contains a material that makes it sensitive and selective for a specific ion in a sample. The sensitive material produces a voltage that is a signal in response to the ion in your liquid sample. There are many types of ISEs available on the market.
